1. About Us

City Bakes is a microbakery based in Woking, UK. We produce small-batch baked goods made to order and deliver nationwide or offer collection.

2. Ordering

• Orders can be placed through our website by selecting items and checking out via our secure system.

• You must provide accurate information when placing your order.

• Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email.

• Orders are subject to acceptance and availability.

• Some products may have limited availability or may be made in small quantities.

3. Payments

• All prices are in GBP (£) and include VAT if applicable.

• Payment must be made at the time of ordering using our secure payment system.

• We do not store your payment card information.

4. Delivery & Collection

• We currently offer collection from our bakery by arrangement.

• Delivery dates and times are selected at checkout and confirmed via email.

• We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (e.g. traffic, weather).

• If no one is available to receive the delivery, DPD will attempt to contact you. If unsuccessful, the order may be left in a safe place. We are not responsible for any deterioration of our products after they have been shipped.

5. Allergens & Dietary Requirements

• All products are made in a kitchen that handles common allergens including gluten, eggs, dairy, nuts, sesame, and soy.

• We cannot guarantee that any of our products are free from allergens.

• It is your responsibility to check allergen information before ordering. If you have any questions, please contact us before placing an order.

6. Cancellations, Refunds & Returns

• Made-to-order products are non-refundable once preparation has started.

• Orders may be cancelled or changed up to 1 hour after confirmation.

• If we are unable to fulfil your order (e.g., due to illness or supply issues), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer a full refund or alternative date.

• If there is a problem with your order (e.g., wrong item, quality issue), please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with photographic evidence. We may offer a refund or replacement at our discretion.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

As most of our products are perishable food items, your right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations may not apply once production begins.

8. Website Use

• You must not use our site for any unlawful purpose.

• Content on our website (text, images, recipes, logos) is protected by copyright and may not be copied or reused without our permission.

9. Liability

We are not liable for:

• Any allergic reactions due to undisclosed allergies

• Missed deliveries due to incorrect or incomplete delivery information

• Any indirect or consequential loss resulting from your use of our website or products

Our total liability is limited to the value of the order placed.

10. Data Protection & Privacy

• Customer details (name, contact info, etc.) are collected only for order fulfilment and communication.

• We do not sell or share your personal information.

11. Legal & Liability

• Our products are prepared and sold in accordance with UK Food Hygiene and Environmental Health standards.

• City Bakes is registered with Woking Borough Council and the Food Standards Agency as a food business, and holds a 5* rating.

• We hold a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate, Level 2 Allergen Awareness, Level 2 Health and Safety, and business insurance.
